This event will take place in Muiden on the waters of the IJsselmeer, not far andeast from Amsterdam from 15 - 17 may, 2009.
The very experienced race committee of the KNZ&RV (Royal Netherlands
Sail- and Rowing Club) will ensure excellent racing conditions!
Holland, Loosdrecht and Medemblik fleets have been able to find sponsors,
who will take care of many extras before and after the races!
The date for this event has been especially chosen, so that competitors in
the Holland Regatta (formerly known as the Spa Regatta) the following week can
tune up and meet a lot of starboat-sailors in advance.
Following this event it is planned to organise such an event (Districts or not) every year.
The emphasis of starboat-sailing must lie on good racing and a lot of
companionship before and after the races. The Dutch fleets want to
contribute to this fine tradition on an annual basis.
